Complete lighting upgrade to the Lecture Theatre at the Swann Building, King's Buildings, University of Edinburgh.
Scotwood Interiors appointed LIME to deliver a complete lighting upgrade to the Lecture Theatre within the Swann Building at The King's Buildings, University of Edinburgh. Works included new lighting controls, new light and emergency fittings, and conversions to existing fittings.
First fix works consisted of alterations to containment and wiring to enable the installation of the new emergency fittings and the alteration to existing wiring required to serve the new light fittings.
Access was a key challenge on this project due to the layout of the lecture theatre. Scotwood Interiors facilitated safe access to all high-level areas via scaffold. We worked alongside FMS Ltd, who supported with system isolations and carried out minor works to the fire alarm system.
Completed works included new lighting controls, replacement lighting and emergency fittings, and conversions to existing fixtures, alongside associated containment and wiring alterations.
